 
- Be sure to dress accordingly, be prepared for the weather.
- You will have to bring your own Drinking water it is not available on the island.
- Take along a cellular phone if possible as there are no telephones.
- Don’t forget a camera.
- Pit toilets are located on the island.
- Beaches are not supervised.
- Motorized vehicles are prohibited.
- There are camping facilities on the island, located on the Tea House lawn. NS Department of Natural Resources in Waverley should be contacted (861-2560) for permission to camp on the island. Please use “no-trace” camping practices.
- Cutting trees is not permitted. Please be extremely careful with fire.
- Hunting is prohibited on McNabs and Lawlor Islands.
- Visit the island at your own risk. There are no emergency facilities.
- Please keep the island clean by following the “pack-in” and“ pack-out” motto. Please take your garbage off the island when you leave.
