Be sure to dress accordingly, be prepared for the weather. You will have to bring your own Drinking water it is not available on the island. Take along a cellular phone if possible as there are no telephones. Don’t forget a camera. Pit toilets are located on the island. Beaches are not supervised. Motorized vehicles are prohibited. There are camping facilities on the island, located on the Tea House lawn. NS Department of Natural Resources in Waverley should be contacted (861-2560) for permission to camp on the island. Please use “no-trace” camping practices. Cutting trees is not permitted. Please be extremely careful with fire. Hunting is prohibited on McNabs and Lawlor Islands. Visit the island at your own risk. There are no emergency facilities. Please keep the island clean by following the “pack-in” and“ pack-out” motto. Please take your garbage off the island when you leave. Enjoy your visit!
